JL dosnt feel like the sequel BvS was promising at all. yeh there those fly guys and Steppenwolf but what about:

-Superman turning proper bad as in Bruce's BvS dream - removed no doubt due to everyone disliking dour supes in BvS but when really everyone loves it when Supes goes bad (see Superman III) and no black suit either!

-Flash time travelling back to warn Bruce ('Flash' forward) - that scene was WTF? at the time (remember thinking is that...robin?).. now it even more WTF? as its ignored!

-Darkseid - wasn't he hinted at in BvS?

obviously what happened is after the negative response to BvS and its failure to break $1b the intended two 'Infinity War' style JL movies were hastily condensed into one 'Avengers 1' type movie (I imagine the original intention had everyone loved BvS and itd made 1.2b would've been to end JL Part 1 with a cliffhanger of Superman resurrected but is a pawn of Steppenwolf leading into Part 2 where JL have to battle superman and turn him back to good in order to take down Steppenwolf & prevent Darkseid from coming to earth) which apparently tested poorly with execs when they saw an early cut so then there was the removal of Synder and bringing in Wheadon to ditch the dour/up the fun which created this strange Frankenstein movie of the intended two Synder JL movies condensed into one with Wheadons Avengers meets the SuperFriends where plot threads from BvS were just ignored

bring on the synder cut so we can at least see WTF it was supposed to be.

If a Snyder Cut is ever released, it'll likely by like the Donner Cut, which is a hybrid (and as long as I don't have see Superman turn back time for a third time, I'd be okay with that).
