If you were 17 again.

If some type of scenario similar to this film occurred but instead of living in today's time in the body of your old self, what if you actually went back to that time in your life but retained your spirit, your knowledge and memories of your full life so that you knew what things were going to happen.

If you are not happily married or let's say you're divorced BUT you have kids.
Would you avoid the relationship with this previous partner because you know it leads to unhappiness or divorce with the knowledge that you'd never see your children again if you don't mate with this person?

Would you re-do the same thing so that you had your children or would you flee unhappy relationships in order to try and have a happier love life and forgo ever seeing your children you had in your first time line?

I dont have children so i cant answer this question, but if i could come back to when i was 17 years old,i would use my experiences and knowledges to dont make the mistakes i made. It would be beautiful.

Some mistakes would be easy to avoid, but I'm sure I would just make different ones.

I'm not sure I'd want to go back to my 17th year. A lot of bad things happened to my family during that time, including a week before my 17th birthday. Plus, I'd have to go back to HIGH SCHOOL! Yuck! xP I'd rather go back in time to my 21st year instead. At that time, my family was doing much better and living in TX, and I was starting up college in a new state.

And yeah, I could avoid making the same mistakes I made back then, though it's possible I'd just make some new ones in the course of trying to avoid the first ones.
