I did love the use of the song "Zombie" at the end

As Vanderohe was coming out of the safe and going back home, probably my favorite part of the movie. One of my favorite songs of all time and it was cool to finally see it used in a zombie movie.

probably the reason that no one used it up to now is because they had respect for the actual subject of the song, unlike Snyder who only cares about superficials.

I’m with you on that, mate. The movie doesn’t deserve that song and I wonder if the blasphemous use has set Dolores O'Riordan (RIP) turn in her grave. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen didn’t deserve Linkin Park’s New Divide and Last Action Hero didn’t deserve Megadeth’s Angry Again but at least those songs were written specifically for those films.

Yeah. I absolutely couldn't believe my ears when this started playing. Truly a WTF? moment. You just know some brain dead idiot in the production team was like "I've heard this song called Zombie and they sing about Zombies in it. We have a film about zombies, let's use it". Then they get a high five and bonus for being so clever for doing something no one's done before.

Never liked that song: "Zoh-hom-bee, zoh-hom-bee, zoh-hom-bee-yah-hee-hee-hee-yeh!"

The song "Zombie" isn't really about zombies, if felt out of place in this movie...

reply

No its not about flesh eating zombies, but the lyrics match up to the movie well enough talking about bombs, tanks, guns, violence, and saying Zombie over and over again.
