No mention of People's Temple??

The film even begins with his recording on November 18, 1978.
And at the end they even mention "grape Kool-Aid", which was odd

I know what brand it was. It appears that Milk didn't, as he chose Kool-Aid as a tribute to the Jonestown victims in real life.

One giant pet peeve of mine is that people think the term"drinking the kool aid" is a reference to Jonestown....it's not, it's actually a reference to the Kesey kool aid acid tests.

Why should it? The movie An American Crime doesn't mention them, either, and that took place when they were still in Indianapolis.

Because Milk and Jones were personally acquainted and supported each other's endeavors!
