Well, perception is everything, isn't it. Considering the rampant homophobia in the US, I think a 7.8 rating is pretty damn good. If it had an 8.0 it would be close the Top 250 films on IMDB, and IMDB has THOUSANDS of films. The only thing that keeps it out of the top 250 is that little .2 and not enough votes; less than 60K. The Shawshank Redemption has almost a million votes, yet it was a box office failure!
