Working Smartphone with Thick Gloves On.

I am willing to suspend my disbelief for everything else, but this was going way too far. Took me out of the show, for a few minutes. I felt like my intelligence was being insulted.

I'm fine with that. My beef on that part was the gloves were pretty puffy in itself (leather most likely) so she'd be hitting more than just one letter but multiple at the same time while she was typing.

Yes... this is exactly what I am saying. She was using the keyboard with those bulky gloves. It's hard enough in perfect conditions.

well, capacitive screens are junk but you could easily make a resistive screen that works well with thick gloves. or anything that can apply pressure.

If the fingertips on the gloves are the size of three keys on the digital keyboard... I don't see how you could ever get this to work.

resistive allows very fine points, so fingernails help a lot

One of my old windows phones had a sensitivity setting just for gloves.
It worked without touching the screen.
About 1/4 inch or so from the screen.

I have a childs game that has a touch screen that will register a touch at more than 1/4 of an inch. It gets to be a real problem when you are trying to go real fast on the game. sorry I can't remember the name of it but its a blast LOL.
