Pros and Cons & Strange Use of Alec Baldwin

This was a pretty good documentary and I really liked how open Lightfoot was in his commentary. He was charming and self-deprecating and had a lot of wisdom at 79 years old. I didn’t like how it opened with what seemed like 10 minutes of negativity about the song “For Lovin’ Me.” That was a great hit song and this was a terrible way to start a documentary celebrating the guy. I also didn’t like the prolonged and repeated focus on other performers who covered his songs. And then 24 minutes in we suddenly get strange testimonials from Alec Baldwin for no clear reason other than he’s famous and apparently owns a couple of Lightfoot’s albums
