Thank god they never hired Jaden Smith to play Smith's younger self

Maybe now even Will knows better than to put young Jaden in his movies, especially in a co-lead role. Maybe. However this movie turns out, I’m certain having Jaden in it would’ve done a great disservice to everyone. Lol.

And sure, while I guess there is always room for improvement, it just wouldn’t have been the right move to bring in J. Will playing his younger self is the film’s selling point.

I'm sure he thought about it. Could you imagine the conversation?

"Listen Will, your kid sucks ok. He just pisses people off. In that shit Karate kid remake you did people wanted to see the snot kicked out of him. And let's face it this film will bomb enough without him".

I wonder if it would have been easier to make Jaden look like young Will than old Will like young Will? There were some glaring CGI failures in the effort.
