Has he become superhuman?

Seriously, even though I haven't yet seen THIS one but have the previous and also read its reviews, how is he able to withstand and survive being hit by many cars and falling down so many steps and then just getting up as if nothing ever happened?

Even by typical action movie standards, it does tend to stretch breaking point but in a way, has John Wick practically become superhuman to achieve any of it?

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope. He hasn't become superhuman. He is able to survive all that, but it's simply getting shot 2-3 times that kills him. Bunch of BS and what a joke. He dies like that? GTFO!!!

It's very possible he did not die. Depends if Keanu & the director are up for doing another film in a few years. K will be in his early 60's so his role may not be the same.

But Keanu Reeves is already 58, there is not much time left for him to do intense action scenes, so I think they wanted to kill him off, but not sure what would happen if they did.

The next movie whether he will show up or not I think will have to depend on his health and audience poll.

I think most likely he will become a mentor kind of guy in the next movie, and usher in a younger actor, if the next movie is going to happen at all.

But how is he able to survive all that, including falling down long stairs and getting hit by cars etc?

reply

Yes.

Of course he's become superhuman and it's gloriously over-the-top and looks fantastic.

This franchise is awesome, a well-dressed and cool looking badass superhuman hitman dispatching endless amounts of other hitmen out to get him? I'll keep watching them if they keep making them. I much rather prefer the superhuman action of the John Wick films than Vin Diesel defying the laws of physics with cars and spouting "Family" all the time.

reply

Yeah I much prefer this martial arts focused movie. Vin Diesel always comes across as too cocky and conventional for my taste.

Vin Diesel is just weird and has a massive ego. He seems to think he’s making the greatest saga ever put on film with the Fast & Furious franchise.

Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski just seem like cool dudes making awesome action films. Love the neon-soaked world of John Wick as well, just absolutely stunning and makes the action scenes and world look very unique to that franchise.

It's thanks to the special kevlar suit (42 regular, if I'm correct). However it felt a bit ridiculous that he has to use the jacket as "shield" (covering his face) during half of every single fighting scene.
