Hollywood SNUBS 'Dear Evan Hansen' star Ben Platt from this years awards!

In a huge shocker, Hollywood proved how tone deaf they are by NOT inviting 'Dear Evan Hansen' star Ben Platt to this year's awards show.

The Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award nominated actor and singer, who plays the title role in "Evan Hansen", was mystified about his snub, and thanked his fans for expressing “shock and outrage” after he revealed that they did NOT reserve a seat for him at the 94th annual Academy Awards.

The breakout Hollywood film star said he is making the most of this awkward situation and plans to watch the award ceremony at home instead. "I have tried it all but it doesn't seem to be happening" shrugged Platt. "I will be watching at home in my PJs, so proud of the work we so tirelessly did 3 years ago", he added.

Fans of the film star say the snub is “immensely bogus” and unfair, and perhaps demonstrates Hollywood favoritism towards straight white males. "#oscarssostraight" have been trending since the snub of the openly gay Platt. Critics of the Platt snub say the glaring omission is a black eye against the Hollywood industry. “My goodness, folks!! appreciate all the support, i really really do,” Platt tweeted Sunday afternoon.

In other shocking and outrageous news, NONE of the cast of this year's lavish musical "In the Heights" were invited to the Oscars either, despite famed Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda producing "In the Heights". "I'm at a loss to understand this unfair, and quite frankly, cold-hearted snub against us", star Anthony Ramos tweeted on Saturday. He added "Maybe they just don't like people of color at Award shows".

[FYI, yes the above post is parody, in case you also think its "unfair" that the stars of failed box office bombs and infamous movie flops get 'snubbed' from award shows]
