Seriously, how much super hero shit can people watch? Doesn't it get redundant after a few films? I'll sum up every superhero film in one sentence. A bad guy wants to conquer the world, and a superhero stops him- the end.
sharefor 6 months every Christmas I watch 24 hours of a channel that does the SAME plot to every movie with the same actors on repeat...still not sick of them. If you don't like Super Hero movies, don't watch them.
for me, the last few ones (except Spiderman) have been a bit boring. I am really looking forward to Thor.
I don't watch them- they are shit. I simply can't understand how for 20 years the MCU has been putting out the same movie and people are still clamoring to see them.
I do the same on Christmas...kind of. It's on in the background, but I don't sit there like a phone zombie and watch the entire thing for 24 hours.
You don't have to understand everything. Sometimes how the human brain works is a mystery.
So if you don't watch superhero movies but numerous other people like to... then so be it, let them have their fun. No need to understand why.
I'm simply interested in what the appeal is. Why do people get so butt hurt when someone wants to understand the reasons why other people like something?

I really dislike topics like this which have become too plentiful on every superhero movie board. If you do not like superhero movies, don't watch them. But for you to make insulting remarks towards those who like them is not right.
I don't like the Godfather but I have no qualms with anyone who likes it. It's just not my type of film. I'd rather watch other dramas like One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest or Shawshank Redemption.
Also if you bothered to do research you'd know that some action and adventure movies like Terminator 2 or Jurassic Park made way more money than a lot of the dramas that came out the same year they did. In fact even though I can't look up all the box office records back then from the 70s or 80s, I can guarantee you that movies like King Kong, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones probably made more money than a lot of the Dramas nominated at the Academy Awards did.
But go head and act like movies similar in tone to superhero movies weren't making more money than dramas or comedies decades before superhero movies were much of a thing.
Where did I insult anyone who likes them?!

I did however call these movies stupid hero films. That's not an insult towards the people that watch them- that is an insult to the film.
Look, I watch plenty of movies that are absolute crap, and I enjoy them, but I know that they are crap. For instance, I like the movie Space Raiders. However, I know it's crap, and if anyone called it crap, I would wholeheartedly agree with them.
What I want to know is how can anyone enjoy the same movie being spit out for 20 years? I simply do not understand how people are still excited about seeing basically the same movie (albeit with a different stupid hero as the lead) for 20 years. It baffles my mind.
And what does doing research on Terminator 2 and Jurassic park have to do with anything I have written in this thread? Where did I ask for dramas? Name one place I asked for a freakin' drama movie in this thread? I didn't but you got completely butt hurt because I started a thread that you didn't like. So, you jumped to assumptions. I have nothing against people enjoying these movies, I have nothing against people enjoying Jurassic Park or Terminator movies, I have no desire to ask for more dramas. What I am interested in is how it is possible for someone to not be completely sick of watching super hero films (which basically all have the same premise) for the past twenty years (this is the second time I am reiterating the question that I posed in my initial post).
I'll leave you with some advice acting so butt hurt, stop making assumptions, pay attention to what someone actually writes, stop insinuating that you know more than other people, and learn how to answer the question at hand before going off on a rant that has nothing at all to do with the initial question.
