Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke were divorced in real life at the time. It would make for a really authentic relationship between the parent characters and elevate the film’s brilliance even higher.
shareI thought Arquette was perfect in the part and honestly cannot imagine Uma being better. Also the relationship in the film gradually developed into an ‘amicable divorce’ and I’m not sure whether Thurman and Hawke have enough of a one to work together regularly over twelve years!

She seems like a relationship with her would be like hitting the jackpot!
