Brie Lawson needs a true sequel to Captain Marvel , not what we got

The need for a sequel to Captain Marvel is less urgent than Chris Reeve's need for a new wheelchair here in '24

I agree. This film is not nearly as bad as a lot of MCU fans say it is but not a worthy sequel to the first movie either. But even the first one could have been much better. Annette Benning as a female non powered Mar- Vell was terrible.
