The only good Cinderella movie ...................
was the one with Brandy. Period.
shareI disagree. I like this one much better for tons of reasons including the fact that the Cinderella and Prince character in this movie have a lot more chemistry than the one's in the Brandy version.
shareI hated the movie with Brandy and liked A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff much better.
shareOkay, I'm not a fan of the one with Brandy because, and I'm sorry if I sound racist because I really don't mean to be, that entire movie all I could think about was how a Whoopi Goldberg and Victor Garber came up with Paolo Montalban. I love that they tried to make it a racially diverse movie, but that just weirded me out.
A Cinderella Story with Hillary Duff and Chad Michael Murray wasn't that bad. I'm not a fan of Duff, but I liked that one. It was cute.
This was more of a dance movie than anything having to do with Cinderella, I mean, he found out who she was half way through the damned thing. Selena Gomez looked like she was 12 and that annoyed me a bit too.
Let's just all stick to the classic Cinderella shall we?
I'm a fan of the Disney one from 1940's or 1950's.
Although Ever After and Ella Enchanted are also favorites.

Aside from Ever After, I also like First Love. I just discovered it the other day. It's from the 1930s so it's in Black and White, but it was a very good retelling of Cinderella and it's very sophisticated.
If you liked the one with Brandy, then you'll like the original one with Julie Andrews as Cinderella. Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote great songs!!!
Ella Enchanted the book is a real treat. I don't think the movie did it any real justice.
Another good one is "The Slipper and the Rose." I didn't like it at first, but as I grew up, I learned to appreciate it. It's a musical, with songs from the same guys that wrote the songs for "Mary Poppins." In this version, the Prince is fully developed, even more than Cinderella. You could say that this particular version was from his point of view.
There are countless Cinderella movies out there, some good and some not so good. I still think Ever After tops them all.
I've never seen First Love and I think I would like to see it because you (kenonw) seem to have good taste.
Ella Enchanted the book was great and I wish the movie was more like it. However, the movie was great too!
The top 2 versions of Cinderella are Ever After and The Slipper and the Rose. I like them so much because they are not too cutesy and cheesy. They are more realistic but not so realistic that there is no Happily Ever After.
There are A LOT of versions out there and one must see at least 7 to really compare them... You might call me a Cinderella nut because I've seen at least 10, including Cinder-Elmo!! Ha Ha Ha!!!
As a sidenote, there are 3 Rodgers and Hammerstein versions and the best one was the one with Leslie Ann Warren!
The one with Deanna Durbin? I just saw that some months ago! Amazing.
Sign...Robert Stack.
Yeah. I like the one with Brandy - Cinderella (1997) as well. I also like Ever After (1998) and the new one Cinderella (2015) is not so bad.
