i do love that movie, it is really a feel good movie !
but it is too alike (even the music score) to Take Off 2009 (Gukga daepyo)

Well, firstly, Eddie the Eagle is pretty much a British movie - not an American movie. The director and almost all of the actors who star in this film are British except for Hugh Jackman, who is Australian, and the movie is based on the true story of Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards, who again, was British. The rights to Eddie's story had been floating around since the 1990s, and this film is certainly NOT a remake, nor does it seem it drew any inspiration from the film you speak of (which the director did not mention as one of the films he drew inspiration from). So... I think it's safe to say that it's just a coincidence that the two films have similarities.
