So much more appreciation for how dangerous it was

I was 15 in 1988 and remember watching him jump and all the hype about it. Until watching this film it never really occurred to me just what a rare bravery and determination he had. Well done that man!

And i'm totally with him being able to compete. If that's the best the nation has produced then that's who should go. If someone has a problem with him not being up to their desired standard they should go get some skis and be better than him, otherwise they should STF up.

i agree. the shots where you are actually looking down those fearsome jumps are quite scary. You have to have a lot of nerve to do what he did, and certainly he must have been a good skier to be able to do those jumps at all.
