Eddie's biggest problem...


...was that once he achieved a jump on one of the ski-jump slopes, he would immediately want to go onto the next one without practising and practising on the current one to make sure it wasn't a fluke, and to perfect his technique so at least he wouldn't break his neck on the next one, as he so nearly did! After all, it takes years and years of practice normally, and they also normally start at such a young age (6) so really, Eddie was pushing it and being impatient. He was lucky to survive, let alone be an Olympic celebrity.

Why are you here if you haven't seen the movie yet?

He did manage to do it though, and survivie. And in real life, i think he had had a longer period of coaching than the film implies.

and he did numerous jumps every day.
