The score sounded very much like Days of thunder


It's not a plagiary but they sounded very similar, especially during the ending. But hey, I'm not complaining. I like that music a lot:) Matthew Margeson did a great job channeling Hans Zimmer's style from that movie.

They used a lot of 80's music that people today would recognise, as a constant reminder that the film is set in the 80's.

Plus it would seem anachronistic to use a more contemporary score.

A mix of DAYS OF THUNDER and HOOSIERS. If you listen to those two scores, the influence is very obvious, but that's exactly the sound they wanted.

I can also hear a touch of Dave Gruisin who composed the music for "Lucas" and "the Goonies".
