Actually, they took a lot of damage and died.

Some things to bear in mind when watching this:

1. The SEALs are top physical specimens. They are capable of continuing to fight after being injured, simply because they're stronger and more fit than the average guy.

2. There's a huge difference in aiming. The tribesmen/Taliban fighters are mostly amateurs -- brave ones, obviously, but still not up to the standards of elite troops like SEALs, Rangers, or Spetsnaz. Some of them have probably practiced a lot with their weapons and are good shots; most have only practiced a bit, however, and are more "spray and pray." So the SEAL gets a precise head shot; the Taliban fighter blasts away in the general direction of the SEALs and maybe hits a limb with a bullet from one of the bursts.

3. The Taliban can retreat when injured; the Americans can't. Probably quite a few of the men they shot weren't killed outright. However, once they've taken a bullet, there's no point in staying and dying. Retreat and bind the wound, and then lurk around in reserve. The SEALs can't just retreat, they HAVE to keep fighting after getting wounded.

4. Difference in mental state. The SEALs stay lethal and precise even when they're under heavy attack and are wounded and in pain. The Taliban are in a state of pure aggression, fear, and excitement. The latter can cause aiming problems for a few seconds -- during which interval the SEAL coolly puts a bullet into the Taliban's center of mass.

5. The SEALs have relatively new weapons in excellent condition, firing good ammunition. The Taliban are using old AK-47s with "off-brand" ammunition that has been stored poorly for 5 years before use.

6. As noted, they died.

No but it does help when the Muslim Hillbillies you are fighting aren't very well trained and can't shoot straight.
