Talking like he’s from a different time?

So I don’t particularly love the movies but I watch them from time to time with my sisters, and I noticed Bella says he talks like he’s from a different time but honestly I didn’t think so. Maybe in the books? I read them in middle school but I can’t remember. Any examples of this?? Just curious.

It's definitely a line from the book. They just didn't show it, or maybe the scene was cut. Either way, they shouldn't have included that line.

He does talk like he's from a different time, moreso in the books than the movies.
