Just saw it. Not as bad as people are saying.
I was going into this getting ready to trash it, and although I don't find it to be a good movie, it's not terrible. There are some genuinely funny moments, most of which are from Ellie Kemper. I also like how they addressed why the main kid doesn't just call the cops. More Christmas music would have been nice, but with all the snow, it felt like a Christmas movie.
The negatives are obvious though. The main kid is an asshole. You feel bad for the "criminals". The traps were kind of lame. The big problem is making this a Home Alone movie.
Overall it's about a 6/10.
