I don't get the low rating.
Yes, CGI is bad, nothing new in the story, but four characters without families find each other and form a new family is kind of touching for me.
They told you that story, believing it or not, that depends on one's perspective.
Four strangers meet, and they become family, you just believe that?
I am not saying it can't happen, but in this movie it is just not convincing, there is no build up, they just trust each other and get along, I think Disney cartoons probably have more depth.
Yep, three of them have no family, one's parents don't care and live in China. Suddenly a stranger risked her own life to save them. Yep, I believe it can bond them together.
I'm not saying this is good movie, just better than terrible Venoms, forgettable Mobius, ADHD Across the Spider-Verse.
Come to think of it, the movie should makes Dakota Johnson's character more of a loner: Cut Adam Scott out, and without the scene of the baby shower party. It can makes the ending more impactful.
