At first I thought he was going to be the typical musician that can't act for shyt, but he actually did a good job as the leader of the AB. I was glad he didn't go the over the top racist that you usually see in prison dramas, he was a character that I wanted to see more of.
Was his performance liked by anyone else? I'm a little late on the boards, I just finished the final season over the last couple weeks.
I thought he did an amazing jb and he's not someone you'd expect to be a decent actor at least he was in this role and for whatever the script required of him. I wouldn't have minded seeing more of him possibly outside of prison instead of all the Gemma and Unser we got.

I heard that Kurt Sutter was trying to get him on the show for the longest time too. I liked his scenes with Jax, and the way they worked things out with a little humor thrown in here and there lol

Ugh, I found myself yelling at the tv whenever Unser's nosy a55 was on wasting screen time. He should have been killed off after season 2, he was so unnecessary.
And like all good characters, Gemma was just too much. She was great in the show, but somewhere in the middle of the show her constant presence was just overkill.

Love Gemma, and couldn't agree more about Unser. The guy was way too intrusive and just a plain pain in the ass onscreen. So glad he got his in the end.

But Gemma was a given considering the actress is married to the show creator.
