trying to make up physical matches to main characters minus however many years, actually..
They're not doing the prequel.
They chose to do a spin-off of The Mayans. They got the green light by FX and are about to start filming.
JT could be Clive Standen (Rollo from Vikings)
Young Clay and Gemma are hard to imagine. They're too much who they are and impossible to replace. Maybe someone totally unknown?

yeah, Lee Marvin is good physical and demeanour match for Ron Perlman anyway...
but of course we will have to find living younger actors who fit.
Trying to work out who we could cast...wondering if Sean Bean, maybe, if american-accent??
Heck, I'd love to see a final episode of Season 6 rewrite and a Season 7 rewrite, where Tara doesn't get killed by Gemma, she survives, and Season 7 isn't based on lie that wipes out half the club. Instead the final season focuses on how the sons finally get out of everything that has been causing so much trouble in the previous 1-6 seasons.
The show then ends with Jax leaving the club in Bobby & Chibs hands, settling with Tara, Abel, and Thomas on the farm with Nero and Gemma. The crow flies straight, and does not drive into oncoming traffic.
anything where beautiful Tara --lives-- might be worth the price!

I will watch the mayans spin off but honestly, I not all that excited about the mayans. I would rather have seen the prequel series around the Original Nine or a series based around SAMBEL.

Hispanics will watch it because it is about Hispanics, and the rest will watch it because it is SOA-related.
Being also set in that violent border-area itself, could be entertaining, maybe atmosphere like the US edition of 'the Bridge"..set ElPaso/Juarez..
maybe the body-count could make the parent-show look like Patty-cake Patty Cake..
