Is it really impossible that we could have a Jax involved movie or sequel that's NOT a prequel? Death overwhelmed me when I saw that crow on that road, but rewatching the series again, the very first episode is all about a 'son' of a SON who shouldn't have survived but is still alive. That's a bit foreshadowing. But this quote....

"Your father was hit by a goddamn semi, dragged 178 yards and that bastard lived for 2 more days. Tellers do not die easy". "No, we just die bloody" says Jax.

That was preceded by her telling him that he lived through the same birth defect that killed his brother.

So he makes a habit of living through things that kills members of his family. If his dad lived for 2 days after going head on into a semi (which back then vehicles were all steel and sturdy and had NO give in them) by "accident" , then why couldn't he be alive considering he's stronger than the rest of his family and these cars these days are softer and have more give than what his daddy ran into?

I know I'm wrong and that's not how the show ended.... but that is the only way I can see Jax coming back outside of a stupid ass dream scenario like Roseanne.

What would be the point? If Jax hadnt died in that crash, he would have likely died in some shootout or gone to prison the rest of his life. He had no useful life skills or options for starting a crime-free life.

if he survived that, he could maybe do movie stunts...or do the talk-show/docu circuit, "I was dead and I came back " stuff, for a bit.

I suppose he could go that route and become some sort of inspirational figure who recovered from massive injuries, but that would be a weird direction to go. Plus, would you really want to watch a movie or show focused on Jax giving motivational speeches?

Sorry, but recovering from massive injuries? With all the variables involved with his death there was no way he got out with just massive injuries not to mention ever recovering period.

Agreed. Driving straight into a semi like this is guaranteed suicide.

OP is asking what could happen if somehow he survived, so im going along with that idea

plus, if he survived, you opened the door.

Donna, Opie, Bobby,Dawn , Unser, Gemma , Juice..the porno director they stuffed in the trunk and swiss-cheesed...Nero's 16 assorted hookers and Johns.....Greensleeves, hell, all they did is push him backwards out an apartment window, million ways he could have made it, not even that big a deal...Pope and the other brother Jax took on the courtroom steps..they can any or ALL come back..

Just reset, like one of those stupid JJ Abrams shows..

Him not dying would completely ruin any further legacy of the show. The ending made sense and everything from the beginning of the series added up to the final scene happening.
