Yeah, sometimes they were over the top. Especially Clay hugging and kissing McGee before pushing him off the roof.

Those hugs really do happen in the biker world though.

Well the bro hugs don't stop there, and they get longer and louder as the series goes on...

it is based on the actual biker community.
And you have to remind yourself that these guys are basically a bunch of dudes wearing a lot of leather and sitting on vibrating machinery.
It makes perfect sense that they try to touch each other as often as possible.

There are certain terms said in conversations that are repeated over and over again and other things besides the bro hugs also happen such as the forehead or cheek kisses which I found weird only because of how many times it happened. Jax seemed to have a thing for it.
