Bro-Hugs

Just started season 2 and am already tiring of the non-stop bro hugs

reply

yeah...and let's face it, they're mostly 2-faced fake.

they kind of remind you of all those Israelis who wound up hugging, or at least permitting themselves to be hugged by, Yassir Arafat...

could be worse, though...could be Ginni bro-kisses like in Sopranos..as much of a Sopranos freak as I was, I used to fking retch on that shyt, every time, I literally could not even look..

reply

Yeah, sometimes they were over the top. Especially Clay hugging and kissing McGee before pushing him off the roof.

. Especially Clay hugging and kissing McGee before pushing him off the roof.

yeah, see what I'm talking about.

reply

Those hugs really do happen in the biker world though.

reply

Well the bro hugs don't stop there, and they get longer and louder as the series goes on...

reply

it is based on the actual biker community.
And you have to remind yourself that these guys are basically a bunch of dudes wearing a lot of leather and sitting on vibrating machinery.
It makes perfect sense that they try to touch each other as often as possible.

...but they hung him anyway.
Hanged, Ami. Your father was not a tapestry.

There are certain terms said in conversations that are repeated over and over again and other things besides the bro hugs also happen such as the forehead or cheek kisses which I found weird only because of how many times it happened. Jax seemed to have a thing for it.

reply

Don't worry, you'll get tired of many more traits that happen in the show, soon enough!
