Dennis Rowe was killed in 2004, and yet the music that can be heard in the scene depicting the event is Lady Gaga's Bad Romance from, like, 2010 or something. How come?

Irony.

The musical sound of the song is humourous, as are the lyrics, and the lyrics match the situation

The director is saying, "here we go again, another bad Peterson romance ends with blunt head trauma murder, do a little dance, make a little love, will Sophie get down with Michael tonight"

The music was from the car radio. So it was in-universe. It was anachronistic.
