Can't see it being as good as the first 3

Don't really care about Bam not being in it, but not a fan of them bringing in all these younger guys to do stunts. I get these guys are old and can't do the same stuff they used to, but it just feels forced at this point.

it definitely wont be as insaine as jackass 2 thst one was the most narly. steveo put that leach in his eye

reply

Jackass 2 was incredible and easily the most brutal of the 3

reply

yeah they were all at there peak levels of degeneracy and drug abuse in jackass 2, allowing for some brutal stunts. jackass 3 was cool but felt much more tame

reply

Yeah, 3 was still good, but it wasn't as crazy as 2 for sure. Also the 3D was a letdown.

reply

yeah it felt too polished. they focused to much on those arty fartys slow mo scenes instead of focusing on making the craziest stunts. it felt kinda the same as when ur watching family guy and they start dancing and singing just cause seth mcfarlin is a gay dude that likes arts. it feels forced and unnecessary. the fans i feel like are not asking for this stuff

reply

That and it really didn't feel like they utilized the 3D that much. It felt like the first few stunts they really used the effects and then just sort of forgot about it. The idea of a 3D Jackass movie was a lot better in theory than the end result.

Not sure if you saw 3.5, but I was a bit surprised some of the bits on there weren't used for the final product.

reply

yeah the 3d technology is in itself kinda a gimmick. they stopped making the 3d tvs completely. ten years ago when this movie came out they were being advertised like the next big thing everyone was gonna own. i never had one but am looking for a used once for sale since i collect retro videogames and do have a couple old ps3 games that are 3d tv compatible. i was always interested in how they looked. one is a cartoony rachet and clank game that should be pretty sick

reply

Yeah I never owned a 3D TV, but I tried one out at a friends and the technology really was just not there for the time. I hadn't even seen a movie in 3D in a few years until the new Spider-Man because that was the format for 4DX. I own Jackass 3D but it's with the creappy green and purple glasses which really doesn't do the 3D any justice either.

reply

yeah i dont have too much experience with 3d stuff other than Spy Kids 3d i saw as a kid. i liked that 3d effects more than the ones in jackass to be honest. no gay 3d dick hitting golf ball lol

reply

Yeah Spy Kids 3D was super corny 3D effects, but it was well done and worked. The last 3D movie I remember seeing being truly impressed with the technology was Gravity.

reply

yeah i wish i watched gravity at theater on 3d setup i would probably had liked it. instead i watched cheap pirated copy and without the good visuals the film lost all its magic. same with Avatar. i watched a shitty rip of that and the movie sucks without the good effects to carry its shitty story

reply

I WILL JUST BE HAPPY TO SEE THE GUYS AGAIN...BAM WAS ALWAYS MY LEAST FAVORITE SO I CAN DEAL WITHOUT HIM...THE ABSENCE OF RYAN DUNN WILL BE A TOUGH PILL TO SWALLOW THOUGH.

reply

Yeah I don't really care about Bam being gone. He's a lunatic now and I can't blame them for cutting him out of the movie.

reply

Just saw it. They gave Dunn a nice little tribute at the end of the film. "Dunn Forever".

reply

NICE.🙂

What did you think overall of it? Saw some Letterboxd reviews saying it's the best in the series which i find hard to believe.
