A two-bit movie at best

shareI would say it was neither great nor bad. I'd probably settle on a 6.5, but maybe a 7 if I'm in a really good mood. Perhaps 6.75/10 is most accurate.
I was hoping for more, based on the premise, but at the same time I enjoyed it fairly well and didn't regret watching it.
I do on some level think that it's a missed opportunity because the premise is fucking GREAT. There's definitely a better movie that could be made from the idea of a kid in the 80s desperately wanting an NES for Christmas. But it had some amusing moments, the child actors were surprisingly good, and I thought the story came together pretty well at the end.
