Uh... How old is Paul Rudd's character supposed to be, anyway?
sharePaul Rudd was 40 when the film was made, but he has never looked his age. I don't think his character comes off as 40 years old.
The Signals tour was mostly in 1983, so if he had been 40 in the film, he would have been 13 or 14 during most of that tour. They really should have used another tour in the screenplay - maybe Counterparts.
Why - he's saying he hasn't seen them in a very long time - since he was 13.
