Wouldn't they have checked her fingerprints anyway? And what about the dead son's stabbed body??

I mean, to see if she's really who she claims she is...?

And who are we supposed to believe killed the son? Her prints are all over him and the murder weapon still sticking in him! Surely the house didn't burn down to ashes...

Plot holes to drive a truck through...

Damien Thorn's sister meets Hannibal Lecter... - but in a silly way I actually enjoyed it - you just shouldn't think too much about logic and realism, just enjoy the ride...

I asked it too. They should have checked fingerprints while still in Russia. Oh, and Estonia is not Russia anyway?

Seriously, you don't come to this site before seeing the films in question! :-)

I'm also surprised that she was never examined by a doctor. Considering the background she was supposed to have, you'd think they'd give her a physical or some kind of exam that was pretty thorough. They'd realize she had gone through puberty and was probably older than she said.

I just checked thru this thread. Everyone is correct. However, it is only a movie. What was difficult for me was accepting the actress, Isabelle Fuhrman, as a 9 year old when she is in her mid 20s. It worked perfectly in "Orphan". In this one you had to kind of suspend disbelief - along with the other issues mentioned here. Still, one has to say - I thought it was pretty good, meaning "Orphan 2" - as long as you didn't pick it apart.

I liked it too, despite the implausible. premise.
