The promos made this look so cheesy and low budget - I was wondering how they got Urban... I never would have realized how good this was had a friend not recommended it.
In the promos the costumes seemed so bad, not sure if they are improved in the show - or maybe the writing is so good that I stopped noticing.
I am so glad I didn't see the promos. 😊 Seems to me the less you know about a show beforehand, the more you enjoy it.
The Spice Girls track on the promos was a mood killer.
I agree that they mismarketed it. Hopefully, it didn’t hurt the audience numbers. I’d like to see this show end organically, not get cancelled.
I thought exactly the same thing from the promos: some cheap, shabby production. For a show that got so many things right, they got the marketing wrong.
