Diversity everywhere!!! Yawn.

All characters are now PoC, which has become officially trite these days. I’m actually shocked they didn’t recast the Sanderson sisters or have some spell go haywire and switch their races once they appeared again.

Disney should just officially change their name to Diversity. But makes you wonder why they didn’t do it before it became “trendy” a few years ago. Up until then they were happy as hell keeping everyone white.

They still try to hide black actors on posters for films going to China though.

AWWW...SCARY POC KEEPING YOU FROM WATCHING ALL YOUR FAVORITE DISNEY STUFF?🤣

The cast list shows almost all white actors, aside from 2 whole black people.

There are plenty of cases of forced diversity hires, but this doesn't seem like one of them, unless 2 black people being in a movie ruin it for you.

reply

Suddenly PoC characters are main leads in every Disney project.

reply

You approve of this, right? Why in the world would anyone not approve? This is not China or North Korea and you are not under any obligation to watch these productions.

reply

Another white supremacist to ignore *sigh*

reply

Yep, more leftist garbage.

If this was made in the 90s you'd have two cute white girls as the teenagers. Now it's one Mexican and one half black. It would be refreshing to have white people represented again.

reply

You know I have to give you props, it’s something of a talent to so thoroughly display your creepiness and prejudice in one short paragraph. Cute underage white girls YES, half-breeds HELL NO.

Your solution is quite simple though, just whack on the original and have the hand lotion and tissues at the ready. Problem solved 🙌

😂🤣👏🏻

No forced Diversity from where I was sat; 16th century Salem 100% white - conversely, modern day America represented quite fairly and accurately.

So it's woke to have people that aren't white in a film? What's funny is there's actually a lot of old films with non whites in the lead. Did that bother you then? Then, for many many years in films and STILL the majority is white actors. Not everything is an agenda.

A lot of you must live in areas that are full of white people. Where I live is very mixed, so diversity is completely normal to me and I embrace it. I live in a very diverse family.

Of course Disney is going to pander to people and has a history of racism. That doesn't change the fact that to me, diversity is a great thing.

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH I AGREE WITH EVERY WORD.

Thank you. Although, while I was writing this, the film is getting some pretty bad reviews. I was pretty hopeful before that it would be decent, but now I'm more skeptical. We'll see. I'll still try watching it, there's a chance I'll like it.

reply

YEAH...I HAVE HESITATED WATCHING IT MYSELF...SO MANY THINGS CAN GO WRONG WITH A SEQUEL,ESPECIALLY THIS LATE...THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SHADE OF THE ACTORS.

reply

I was hoping that the original actors would return. At least the three main actresses playing the Sanderson Sisters did.

A Hocus Pocus sequel is actually something that a lot of people had been wanting, including me. I'm not expecting it to be better than the original, but at least still decent.

Apparently Hocus Pocus was one of my favorite movies when I was little. I hardly remember but my parents told me when I was about 3 I wore the VHS tape out because I watched it almost everyday.
