SPOILERS alert, do you think that...

... Ali Larter's character deserved to die at the end? Even taking into account all the undeniably wrong things she did in this movie, was the killing of her justified, in your opinion? Thanks.

No

FAIR ENOUGH BUT (SPOILERS ALERT) -

THAT IS what happens at the end of this movie and the general tone of it is not that of a great or even minor sympathy overall towards her character. :)

And you answered in one simple word - fair enough, that's your position and opinion. But is the overall situation complex, simple or...? Thank you.

Simple

On the other hand, maybe she didn't deserve it but the outcome of her fighting with Beyoncé was at least somewhat understandable. And I wonder - did Beyoncé also realize that she has err assaulted him at one point intimately as well? And did she also maybe decide to fight her as opposed to try and run away and call the police because she felt guilty that when Elba was victimized, she sort of blamed him as well, thinking it is his fault somehow?

Or maybe it was self defence, like that ending of "Hand That Rocks the Cradle" (1992)?

Yes

Been a while since I saw the movie but I was not convinced that she actually died.

I don't think anyone could've survived that fall at the end and I think it was clear that in a confrontation she did in fact die, there was no indication afterwards to suggest otherwise.

I've seen crazy demented people like her that are very hard to kill. Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees come to mind

reply

Hahahahaha, then again, for some of those characters, besides being exaggerated horror archetypes, they seem to either have too much strength or even are slightly supernatural as well.

reply

They could have made a horror franchise here with Ali Larters character being a serial killer of men in future films
