exactly! showing minorities as actual people is highly unrealistic. and women having character? ha! femoids know not what it means to have thought. if this movie were realistic and unwoke, it would be a bunch of smart white alpha males and the occasional dumb thug minority and hot bimbo woman. i'm giving this movie a 1/10 already.

shareThe reason is was woke is that they threw in a black woman in a role that was not plausible. The matriarch of the family had wasp written all over her which means that she would have never forgiven her son for marrying a black woman she would have disowned him... but they throw in the black woman so they can tick a box... then apparently they can't even find a black kid the right age for the little girl part and use one that appears to be 10 but is in a role that was written for a 6 year old. So you end up with a roll where the kid is acting retarded because it is just poor casting.

shareOh, I'm well aware that a kid 10 can still believe. But if you just listen to the dialog they have written for the role it wasn't what you would have a 10 year old saying it was more like what a 6 year old would have said. I don't know if the writers were simply shit and had no clue how 10 year old talk or the writers wrote it for a 6 year old and the director simply wanted to use a 10 year old for the part... but the character was off. Even my youngest daughter noticed the character wasn't right.

but nope, page 2 and some idiot has to cry. I've seen a lot of forced political correctness in films where it clearly stands out and doesn't make sense and is just there to tick boxes, but this isn't one of them.
