Exposition on the Nightly News

I can't recall another film beyond this one that uses the "reporter on the news delivers important plot points" tactic more. So much exposition and plot forwarding came about by way of TV news reports in this film - AND the appropriate character just happens to be watching.

I was only somewhat satisfied by the first film, but curious enough to follow it up with this one. Whew! Not the best call on my part. A disappointment.

I think these films are summed up pretty well by the "they were made for TV originally but then got shifted to the big screen." That just about nails it, in my opinion.
