Palkia and Dalgia fighting?

What was going on between Palkia and Dalgia? why were they fighting each other? They dont explain this in the movie.

They were two entities who never should collide.

This is explained in Arceus and the Jewel of Life. Because Arceus was coming to earth, he was pulling Palkia and Dialga's realms with him, and the two dimensions crossed paths. Both thought the other was invading their territory, and both are very territorial.
