'I'm a US Senator...'

In the movie Shooter that line is also mentioned just before the corrupt Senator is executed. In that movie Mark Wahlburg replies with "Exactly" before blasting the bad Senator. In this movie Winstone replies with something like "is that what you call it?". I preferred Shooter's one liner.

If I were in that situation my line would have been: "I am a US Senator!" - "Not any more MFer!" kaboom!

It was actually 'By whose standard?', which is a tad bizarre, perhaps. I think it was meant to mean that he didn't deserve to be a US senator, but it wasn't the greatest line ever written for a film script. Although, come to think of it, it might have referred back to Jedbergh's previous comment about America deserving better than what it had in terms of leadership.

Mine would have been, "Does that make you bulletproof?" then shot him and said, "Guess not."
