Title.


I loved the movie, but I didn't get the meaning of the title. Was it just some sort of a bad ass title or what?

I think it's meant to represent being at the threshold of something you don't fully understand, whether that's a massive conspiracy perpetrated by the government, or death and the great beyond. I think the final scene showing Mel in the hospital bed pretty well illustrates the concept. Laying there dying, wondering if he'll see his daughter again, with a kind of dark, existential air about it.

That's just what I took away from it. The foggy sense of being on the edge of a terrifying or astonishing discovery.

I'm pretty sure he didn't stay on the edge. He went inside and arm wrestled it. That being said, I don't think he was an evil guy. I think he actually brought justice. But he definitely went a bit dark...
