Whatever happened with the female 21 Jump Street spin-off movie?

They talked about this last year but I haven't heard anymore about it. Since Ghostbusters is kinda doing well, now's the time to get with it.

It seems odd this franchise ended with 22 Jump Street when both movies were popular at the time and there was talk of plans for the female spinoff, a crossover with Men in Black, in addition to another sequel.
