shareOh, no. We don't want a sequel to the RoboCop remake. we want a direct sequel to the original RoboCop from 1987 to be made by Orion Pictures and MGM and to have Peter Weller back as RoboCop.

The day has come. . . I totally agree with you 100%, Spender-J-Gant. As awesome as it would be, it's about twenty years too late.
shareThere already is a sequel to the 1987 Robocop. In fact, there are 2 and also some tv series. People can hate the remake/reboot as much as they want, but it's nowhere near as bad as the sequels. There's a reason why they decided to update the franchise, there was just nowhere left to go with the sequels.
I understand why people hate remakes, but why they would prefer sequels like Jurassic World (which is a movie I hate) is beyond my comprehension. It's as if we've gathered so much hate towards remakes that we have forgotten how awful half assed sequels can be, like the Jaws or Alien franchises.
That's hardly a high praise. The sequals, just as this remake, are all just as pointless. They all seemed to forget, this remake in particular, that original Robocop is also a satire.
It would have been a perfect opportunity to turn Robocop back in to more fleshed out satire, but no. They just had to go with Robodaddy with issues.
wonder if this will still go ahead?
