This movie really pisses me off
The original is one of the best masterpieces I've ever seen and then someone decides to copy and ruin everything the original perfected? One of the stupidest ideas ever.

shareA Robocop remake could have been much better. I say the WORST mistake hands down was enabling this movie to pass for PG13 when the original was rated R. It is my belief that it is almost always a shark jump for a sequel, prequel, or remake of an R rated movie to NOT also warrant an R rating, to be toned down.
In fact I was almost certain before I saw Alien vs Predator that the movie would be terrible because the Alien and Predator movies had all been R rated then suddenly you COMBINE the 2 ultra violent genres and get something LESS violent???? wtf?
I hate it that so many movie studios lack balls and will kowtow to that totally stupid dinosaur of a movie ratings board. I am ok with what the original Robocop did, toning down the violence to avoid an X rating, as no movie other than porn can survive financially with an X or NC17 rating, that I will make an allowance for, but studios need to be brave and accept an R rating when it is warranted for the material.
Terminator made the same mistake, first 2 were very violent and rated R then they switched to PG13.
