Let's compile a list......

Let's compile a list of Super Heroes who are overall LESS well off than REGULAR PEOPLE. As a child I would fantasize about being a super hero but some super heroes are arguably LESS well off than regular people at least in some areas. If you count Robocop as a super hero he might qualify.

1. Certain cyborg heroes (Robocop, Six million dollar man etc) As cool as being a cyborg would be I really would NOT want parts of my body being replaced by machinery. Even as a 1970s child watching the bionic man I NEVER actually wanted to be him, I was happy with my body parts being mine.

2. Bat Man. He's rich and cool as hell but a sad lonely tortured soul who never got over the loss of his parents and except for the happy ending of the Chris Nolan version would never be a truly happy person.

3. Spawn (duh)

4. The Hulk (his transformation even though it has saved his own and the lives of others is a curse that he is trying to get rid of)

5. The Thing (fantastic four). Permanent disfigurement, in the newest movie version he did not seem very happy about it though he accepted it in the end.

I'd include rogue from x-men. In the films, she couldn't even touch people, due to the harm she would do to them.

Don't know if that's different in the comics, though.

I might add Daredevil, as cool as his powers are he is blind and I really love my sense of sight.

Ghost Rider too, even though he magically returns to normal during the day at night he becomes that faceless flaming skull creature whether he wants to or not, makes a normal life hard to have.

Dark Man, movies from Early 90s, being permanently disfigured would suck.
