not a bad choice

reply

This is a good choice but the guy has to be about 40 now. He won't be able to pull off the ageless immortal gimmick for too many sequels

reply

he might be in the Ramiez role (but it sounds like hes the lead)

reply

I'm guessing he's probably in the lead role. But now that you mention it, it would be interesting to see exactly what older actor would step into the role of the main character's mentor (if they decide to go that route).

reply

NIC CAGE

reply

That has a certain charm to it, yes.

reply

I love this! But sadly it probably won't be him. Cage does so well as a mentor. Most people probably don't like it but I love him in sorcerors apprentice.

It'll be NO FUN AT ALL if he doesn't use a French accent, while his Spanish mentor has a Scots accent!

reply

It wasn't a French accent. It was a Lots of Different Places accent. Sure, maybe it sounds like French, but that's just coincidence.

reply

There are definitely worse choices. I recall Ryan Reynolds was once being considered for the reboot. While I don't have anything against him, I don't think he'd fit the role here.

For Ramirez, get Antonio Banderas or possibly a competely out of left field choice Hugh Grant

reply

Man, I could get behind that. Antonio's a pretty athletic guy too. The training montages would be great.

reply

I loved all of the Highlander movies and TV episodes.
Definitely will watch it.
