Wow, and there was me thinking Momoa or Baustisa would be the best one could hope for..

Cavill as MacLeod is pretty awesome casting in itself, but if they get Fassbender as The Kurgan it would make HL 2.0 an ABSOLUTE F***ING MUST SEE!

This is absolutely best case scenario fan casting. It's pretty unreal honestly. But the players producing it.... maybe.

Found a recent interview where Cavil mentioned that this movie will indeed be a prelude to the Gathering and not about the winning the final prize in the end, leaving room to grow the franchise. So hopefully we get a series of films with multiple bad guys. Sounds like they're aiming to make it the right way.

Fassbender will/would act Cavill of the screen, much like Michael Shannon in Man of Steel.

Michael Shannon would be a pretty good bad guy for the film too. Definitely better than Fassbender.

That would be too “Man of Steel”. Fassbender is a more compelling actor anyway.
