Now I want a true Joss Whedon cut, without all the Snyder's baggage. Reshoot all Snyder's scenes, retcon the dead Superman plot, recast Cyborg and Flash, put in Martian Manhunter. Change Steppenwolf into Darkseid. Make it colorful and fun Whedon style.

And, unfortunately, Ezra appears to be locked in so we're going to be seeing his flopping arms again.
That wouldn't work. Even if Whedon directed his OWN Justice League movie from scratch and Hack Snyder had ZERO input on the film, it wouldn't change the fact that Whedon was directing a film set in the same UNIVERSE as Hack Snyder's earlier two crapfests, so Whedon would be forced to make his brand new Superman fit with the events already established in those films, and use the same horrible casting choices, like Laurence Fishburne as "Perry White" and Jesse Eisenberg as "Lex Luthor".
You CANNOT build a cinematic universe off that horrible foundation.
Those are not important characters. Just retcon them. I even suggested they recast Flash and Cyborg. Or just delete them entirely. I don't care, it's just a silly superhero movie, not Shakespeare. Why so serious?
In fact, the whole purpose of bringing Whedon is to make it fun and not as serious as Snyder in the first place. If Whedon takes everything too seriously like Snyder did, then it frickin' defeats the purpose.

He knows what everyone hated about Whedon's patched version. Snyder got enough budget to fix atleast few of those flaws and improve the visuals. Th LEAST he can do is ensure it is better than the original movie.
I mean that's a pretty LOW BAR to clear. But yeah, I agree
shareAt 4 hours long, i bet its going to be a lot more boring. At least in Joss cut, Superman actually wanted to save people.
shareI didn't expect it to receive better reviews thus far. But if it keeps it up, I'd be glad to see Snyder go out on a high note.
