Seeing what Zack Snyder was capable of here it really is a travesty how badly the whole 'cinematic universe' was handled.

WB weren't content with steady profits and cultivating their own brand, they wanted to become Marvel 2.0. The fools. They should have just accepted the brand would be the second most profitable 'comic book universe' and embraced it.

God, yes. I've been a DC fan since I was six. I love the comics, I love the animations, I love (many of) the movies; but over the years those big-screen runtimes have crept up. Nolan's 2hr 40ish min were about the limit for me. Then Reeves' The Batman hit three hours! I don't see they need to be longer than 2hr 20min.
