Going forward I think I'll skip the epilogue.
Rewatched this last night. Fantastic movie but the epilogue is an additional 30 minutes that partly sets up a continuation that will never happen.
The main events (and big finale) end and you get an additional half hour of nothing much. Without the epilogue the movie is about as brisk and thrilling as a 3 and a half hour movie can be.
Said epilogue also features Jared Leto as the Joker in that weird dream sequence which is one of the weaker parts of the movie. I can't stand Leto's Joker!
Definitely considering future viewings to end as the epilogue begins.
