Isn't John Cho too old for this role?

He's almost 50yrs old. I thought Spike was suppose to be a young dude.

I haven't seen the series and don't know if this is addressed (maybe the series takes places more into a certain timeline, etc) but John Cho does look significantly younger than his actual real world age so that's probably why nobody has an issue with this unless you look him up online.

Yes, and he does look too old for the role even though he doesn't look 50. Frankly the way it is shot make me think of the old shitty Adam West Batman series. The series is pretty godawful.

Everybody thinks Cho was miscast as Spike, myself included. They decided the acting was more important than the look of the character. Obviously, they were wrong.
