There's a long way to go before it happens, but I hope the film's success with critics and audiences will outweigh its box office, and they'll keep the series going.
I didn't know Kevin Smith had once been at work on a Fletch film with Jason Lee as Fletch. That would have been great to see. Reading that Zach Braff was almost Fletch, on the other hand, feels like a bullet dodged.
